What is binary opposites? As an example, Binary opposites can be a light switch being on and off or maybe good vs evil in a movie.

Hero vs Villain - Spiderman 1 (Sam Raimi)

Spiderman here is seen as the hero, and the green goblin as a villain, in this movie, the costumes are what define what category the characters are in, the green goblin with its angry and its roaring mouth indicates danger and anger, and his sinister and creepy laugh heard throughout the movie creates the effect of fear and insecurity to the viewer. 

Predator vs Prey - The Ring

In horror movies such as The Ring, the girl coming out of the Television can be seen as the predator, and the children as the Prey, similar to how the animal kingdom is seen, the lion as the predator hunting the deer, and the deer as the prey running and hiding.

Good vs Evil - Star Wars Movies

In Star Wars, it can be quite clear what categorizes characters, one of which is their lightsaber color, the good side can be seen using blue or green colors, while the evil side can be seen using red, there are some exceptions to this as a good character can be seen using a black colored saber. Another indication would be their clothing, light colors such as white and brown as good and black as bad.
