Case Study - Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)

After the events of Avengers: Endgame, Thor embarks on adventures with the Guardians of the Galaxy, where Thor gets in shape and finds a "vacation" spot for Thor and his team. At the time, New Asgard was prospering with the Valkyrie leading the town. This is the EQUILIBRIUM of the movie.

The DISRUPTION occurs when Gorr, the main antagonist of the film, lost his daughter in a dry planet, which then caused him to blame the gods for what had happened, he is angered further when he met a god himself, this particular god had just finished defeating an enemy which happened to wield a sword named the "Necro Sword", Gorr killed the following god with the Necro Sword and vowed to kill all gods, which is where the plot begins.

After Thor had finished saving a planet from its war, he is warned that a certain "God Butcher" is slaying gods uncontrollably, this is also when he discovered that he will be the next target, feared that his home would be attacked, he traveled back to New Asgard to discover that it has been attacked by the God Butcher. This is where the RECOGNITION OF DISRUPTION begins, Gorr ends up kidnapping the towns children's and takes them to a colorless planet called the Shadow Realm.

Thor's ATTEMPT AT REPAIR is to travel with Jane Foster aka Thor 2.0 now wielding the Mjolnir and the Valkyrie to save the kidnaped children in this Shadow Realm. There, they were faced with a trap, which caused them to lose the fight and lost Thor's weapon to Gorr, the Stormbreaker, as it turns out, Gorr was after Eternity, where he could make any wish he wants, and the key to it was Stormbreaker. The three heroes were sent back to earth with Valkyrie suffering an injury, and Jane Foster, dying of cancer, with that, Thor travels back to find Gorr, where the children were also found. Thor, with the help of the children, fights Gorr to stop him from getting Eternity, and just as The hero was about to be killed, Jane Foster comes back from earth with the Mjolnir to save him, with that, the Necro Sword is destroyed and the fight is over. Thor realizes that Jane was succumbing to her cancer, meanwhile, Gorr, injured but still alive, gets to Eternity, there, he was taken to a different realm, his wish to kill all gods was swayed by Thor, turning his wish to reviving his dead daughter.

After that, Thor promises Gorr to take care of his daughter as he was dying. the NEW EQUILIBRIUM begins right after, showing a scene where Thor and Gorr's daughter living together. The end.
