POST-COLONIALISM IN MODERN MEDIA

Post colonialism in my understanding, is the effects of colonialism, which is the act of taking control of another country, on the people of that country. The effects may be racism, superiority, advancement etc. In media, this can be seen in movies and shows made by westerners, such as the crown or James Bond, the heroes are seen as white, he is dressed nice, skilled, smart, , where the British are seen as royal, heroes, badass, clean and formal, while in reality, hardly anyone in the UK is like that. 

Nowadays, people have started to grown out of this idea that whites are better than people of color, blacks are more accepted in the world, racism is seen as a negative thing instead of a norm. This affects people by making them more open minded, on different race or ethnicity, and because of this, more blacks are put into film, they are now treated equally as whites.
