The topics for our podcast are humor and true crime, we would need to find a logo with something that fits in both categories, since humor will be the leading factor, we would have a humorous logo with a hint of true crime.

From the research Narent has done, logos that are humorous look mostly like this:

The logos main trend for this type of genre look comic like and bright colors. Having drawings of funny looking characters with a comic book like background, even having the word “comedy” in it, cartoon versions of their faces looking confused, this is a trend in the genre, where the podcast’s a type of question answering podcast, and smiling hosts.

The second genre which is true crime have logos that look like this:

For this type of genre, the main trend for their logos are simpler and monotoned. They’re a lot less busy, the fonts look clean and simple, not a lot going on, more aesthetic.

Most of these logos are red which is what we are looking for considering that the name of our podcast is “caught red handed” and red also matches the current topic of red notes. Also it matches the true crime estetic of blood or red paint in this case. Another thing to consider about most of these red logos is the fact that there are either murder weapons in them or handcuffs to simulate that this is a podcast solely made to discuss high threat crimes such as murder.
