COMPONENT 3 - Social Media Research & Development
This post consists of the research & development of the social media page, this was the work of me with the help of andrew:
SOCIAL MEDIA RESEARCH
Here were some post ideas for the social media page, that I took from the band Maroon 5, our goal was to include as much things as possible, including merch, nostalgic pics and fan pics. We also made some merch for our social media.
The post on the left consists of multiple pictures compiled together, and separated into several posts, we loved this idea and would like to implement it into our own social media, though we will have different template and themes. As for the merch, we decided to first post them one by one, and then at the end after the release of the album, we would post everything together. The bottom right picture could be an inspiration for an individual post.
This was a sort of inspiration for the social media page that I took, the post was used for promoting their new album "The Car" from Arctic Monkeys, I'd like to do the same and posting the digipak cover as a teaser.
Here was another sort of inspiration for the social media page that I took, though it wouldn't be the same theme and design, it was a good post idea, a tour schedule.
This post which I took from the Maroon 5 Instagram page was a good idea on the pictures we'd take for our main actor, which is Sam in this case. We'd have a few posts in our page featuring Sam to show the pre production stage of our album release.
This is another post I've taken from the maroon 5 Insta page, this post features a fan showing her love for the band, this post features audience interaction and we'd like to do a few post like this.
SOCIAL MEDIA DEVELOPMENT
The plan of this was to implement audience interaction with the "post your own picture" idea. Andrew helped me make this.
Here was the design I made for the multiple post pictures. The idea was to make this larger and so it would be 9 posts instead of one, making the pictures look bigger, also making it feel more messy. The ripped paper also symbolizing history and memories.
This was the design after Andrew added the Memories text using a "ripped" paper style to match with the theme of the collage.
Here was the design I made for the concert schedule. The title of the tour would be "S4ND AROUND THE WORLD".
FIRST 3 POST
Here were the progress on the first 3 posts of our social media along with some drafts, "coming" on the left of the post, the album cover on the middle, then "soon" on the left, I've added aspects of Children drawing to represent memories. I changed the background colors from white to off white to better fit with the rest of the posts as well as a warmer tone making a nostalgic comfortable feel.
At this point I've also decided that our page will have 3 posts per topic, here were the topics:
Collab 3 post
^
Merch 3 post
^
Collage 9 post
^
Send us Pictures 3post
^
Teaser vid 3 post
^
Coming soon 3 post
The collage will be have 9 posts as it is our main aspect, as well as the release of our album.
This was the progress of our 3rd to 6th post of our social media, this posts were the promotion of our teaser, and I tried to fit the design with the teaser and music video with the grain filters and brownish color. I added a ripped paper on the bottom of each post so it would look like that the posts in the bottom would look connected with this post, matching the theme of digipak and music video as well.
7 - 9 POST
This post was used for audience interaction. My goal on this one was so that fans would post pictures of their own memories, and we would post it onto our social media page on the collage post, which was the post after this.
This is the result when it is already posted to the Instagram page, here you can see what I was doing with the ripped paper below the pictures, as it looks like they all belong to one giant picture, making it look connected.
The last 3 posts were done by Andrew creating a collaboration with one of our classmates group.
We made fake supporter accounts who contributed to our "post your memories" post. Here we showcased our audience interaction through the involvement of fans in the social media as well as commenting on the posts.
